Course Description Course Description
This 16-week course is designed to develop students’ academic English proficiency through a balanced focus on speaking and writing skills. In the first half of the course, students will work in pairs to plan and deliver problem-solution presentations, learning how to organize content, design effective slides, and apply key presentation strategies. Emphasis is placed on in-class collaboration, peer feedback, and confidence-building through structured practice.
In the second half, the course shifts to academic writing. Students will learn to summarize texts, construct clear and coherent paragraphs, and use practical writing tools to enhance accuracy and clarity. The course culminates in an individually written assignment that demonstrates students’ ability to express ideas effectively in academic English.
Through both individual and collaborative tasks, the course aims to help students build a strong foundation in academic communication for future coursework and professional settings.
