Course Description 透過本性別研究入門課程,幫助學生更認識自己,與相關社群/媒體,以期能在性別認同中真誠面對自我,接納別人;並且從閱讀與觀影中加強對性別議題的敏銳度。
This gender studies and literature introductory class intends to introduce students to know themselves and the related social group/media better. Hopefully students would genuinely face themselves, and accept others in terms of sexual orientation. And through text reading and film watching, they will sharpen their sensitivity toward gender issues.

Allows students affirm their gender identification/orientation, and respect others mainly through film-watching and follow-up discussions (Q and A) to cultivate sharper sensitivity toward gender issues and critical thinking.

Evaluation
1. Classroom discussion and Attendance (max. 3 absences) 30%.
2. Short reflection on film 48%. (12x4 or 16x3); 500 words min each
3. Final long paper 22%.
4. If you want to convent my final grade to letter grade, the following is the conversion chart American Universities usually adopt: A≒ over 90, A-≒ 85-89, B+≒ 80-84, B= 75-79, B-≒ 70-74, C≒ below 70, D≒ below 65, F≒ fail.
