Course Description The course describes basic concept toward pesticides from the history, toxicity testing methods, GM crops, the formulation, the application methods, the toxicity traits, and frequently encountered types of pesticides in the produce and the food products.

The use of pesticides in industrialized agricultural practices is considered both inevitable and necessary. Even if you do not apply them directly, you are likely consuming traces of them every day! In this course, students will gain insights into relevant policies and the characteristics of pesticides, while also developing an understanding of the food safety issues associated with their use.
