Course Description	This course explores linguistic concepts beyond core areas of study, focusing on building a deeper understanding of language as a dynamic system. The course aims at helping students understand how language functions in society, how it is learned, how it changes, and how it is used in different contexts.

Evaluation
Assessment includes pop quizzes and problem sets, a midterm exam, and a final exam. The percentage of each category will be as follows. • Midterm Exam 30% • Final Exam 30% • Pop Quizzes and Problem Sets 25% • Attendance 15%
