(Eng.) Advanced Kinetics in Chemical Engineering
Offering Dept Department of Chemical Engineering
Course Type Elective Credits 3 Teacher HUANG CHIH FENG
Department Department of Chemical Engineering/Graduate Language English Semester 2024-FALL
Course Description The objective of this course is to help students understand the kinetic behavior of homogeneous and heterogeneous chemical reaction systems, as well as the design methods for reactors. This includes heat and mass transfer and equilibrium during the reaction process, kinetic analysis of different types of reactors, ideal and non-ideal reactors, the description of experimental data and its application to reactor design, and the establishment of mathematical models for reaction kinetics. The goal is to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of reaction kinetics.
