Course Description Linguistics is a science that deals with various aspects of human language. This course provides students with an introduction to the basics of the discipline, aiming to cultivate students’ interest (with applications in mind, such as improving students’ knowledge of English grammar) and develop students’ skills at identifying and solving linguistic problems. At the end of the course students are expected to understand why language is worth investigating and possess skills to solve linguistic problems.
