Polymers are everywhere! From plastics and fibers to biomedical implants, electronics, and even within our bodies! This course will introduce several important aspects of polymeric materials, including polymer classification, polymer synthesis, crystallinity and glass transition, mechanical and thermal behavior, rheological behavior, and basic processing techniques. Real-world examples will be used to illustrate the role of polymers in everyday products and advanced technologies. The course will also include a 3D printing workshop that gives students hands-on experience By the end of the course. Students will gain a solid foundation for advanced study in materials science and related fields.
