Course Description This course explores the developmental dynamics of Asia and Africa—two regions at the forefront of the global climate crisis. Moving beyond traditional regional geography, we focus on the intersections of Climate Change Adaptation, Sustainable Agriculture, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through comparative analysis and case studies, students will examine:
(1)Climate Resilience: How rural communities in Asia and Africa navigate threats to food security.
(2)Innovation & Policy: The impact of regenerative farming, innovative water management, and the evolution of international agricultural cooperation.
(3)Socio-Economic Linkages: The role of global supply chains and indigenous knowledge in regional sustainability.
By integrating theoretical frameworks with practical agricultural insights, this course equips students with the interdisciplinary skills needed to address complex regional challenges in the Global South.
