Course Description This course introduces various optimization techniques and their applications to water resources problems. Topics include the introduction to water resource system planning and management, concepts of simulation and optimization, nonlinear optimization methods, linear programming, dynamic systems and multi-stage decision processes, dynamic programming, and river basin planning models.
