Course Description This English for Specific Academic Purposes (ESAP) course is designed to provide you with necessary vocabulary, strategies, and confidence needed for English-Medium Instruction (EMI) courses. In this course, we move beyond everyday English to focus on the specialized language used by professional engineers. You will work with authentic engineering articles, textbooks, and scientific videos to build a strong technical vocabulary. You will also learn how to explain how scientific phenomena work and describe professional procedures clearly in English.
The class is highly interactive and focuses on learning by doing. Through group projects and hands-on tasks, you will practice explaining your technical ideas clearly and participating in professional discussions. This course is perfect for students at a CEFR B1 to B2 level who want to transition from general English to the professional language of their future careers.
