Week 1 |
1 Students who have completed two lab rotations in the 1st year and have chosen the thesis advisors are eligible to take this course starting from the 2nd year.
2 This course is a 1 credit elective course. The maximum credits for each student to take are 6 credits.
3 The student needs to get the thesis advisor’s consent before taking this course.
4 The student’s thesis advisor is responsible to assign research projects related to agricultural biotechnology for the student. The project should include the learning of making hypothesis, designing experiments, making anticipated results, having preliminary data, writing research papers, and publishing journal papers…etc, depending on the student’s actual progress. The research project can be the student’s PhD thesis project.
5 The student needs to submit a report (written or oral) to the thesis advisor in the end of the semester. The thesis advisor has to grade the student based on student’s research results (50%) and the overall performance 50% (including motivation-10%; creativity-10%; presentation 10%; attendance 20%) by using an evaluation form.
6 At the end of the semester, the student’s thesis advisor needs to submit the evaluation form with a final grade to MBAS office.

Evaluation |
The student needs to submit a report (written or oral) to the thesis advisor in the end of the semester.
