Course Description This course aims to enhance students' English speaking and writing skills in an academic environment, with a particular focus on academic writing and oral presentation techniques. The course is divided into three main units: (1) Fundamental Academic Writing: concentrates on writing clear and concise text; covers paragraph structure, including topic sentences, supporting sentences, and concluding sentences;
emphasizes improving the logical flow and consistency of academic writing, with a focus on precision and organization. (2) Academic Presentation Skills: includes developing effective presentation techniques, such as crafting a clear opening, structuring content, and delivering a powerful conclusion; teaches how to design and use visual aids to enhance presentation effectiveness; enhances vocal delivery and body language skills to increase presentation impact. (3) Oral Reports and Presentations:
provides opportunities for presentation rehearsals and individual feedback to improve speaking skills; trains students to deliver academic reports and presentations confidently in public settings. Additionally, the course incorporates peer reviews to foster collaborative learning and constructive feedback exchanges. Through these practices, students will be equipped to express themselves confidently, clearly, and effectively in both written and oral formats within academic and professional contexts.
