Course Description As global health of human and animals has been threatened by increasing viral infections, such as SARS-CoV-2, monkeypox, HIV, influenza and African swine fever viruses, molecular virology research is required for enhancing the knowledge for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these viral diseases. In this course, the lecturer will present relevant and topic molecular virology journal articles in the areas of basic virology such as viral entry and replication, viral-host interactions such as regulation of viral/host gene expression and the host immunity against viral infection, and vaccine biology. Throughout the process of presentation, the lecturer will interact with students and have critical discussion about important points in the paper.
