Week 1 |
1. Invite 2 members of MBAS faculty to be your seminar advisors. You will be the chair for your classmate who presents on the same day.
2. You need to discuss the research paper with your seminar advisors at least 2 weeks prior to your presentation. It is not allowed that the paper is decided without consulting your seminar advisors.
3. The research paper should be recently published in the reputed journal with SCI Impact Factor 5.0 or above, within 2 years.
4. Send at least two weeks before the presentation the PDF file of the paper to all classmates, including Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh and your seminar advisors.
5. After the presentation, remind your seminar advisors to send the seminar evaluation score/grade to Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh In addition to presentations, you also need to evaluate your classmates’ presentations and give comments as well as suggestions, and send this info to Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh and the presenter, with clear subjects if you send it by e-mail.

6. Presentation is about 30 minutes for student’s seminar, and subsequently there will be 20 minutes for discussion, comments and suggestions. Everyone should participate the discussion.
7. Compulsorily you need to attend all the seminars; three successive absences will disqualify yourself from the course (in case of emergency give prior notice to Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh and Chair of the day).
8. Submit reports (at least one A4 page) for 2 out of 5 seminars given by faculty. There will also be some symposiums time conflict with our classes. In order to encourage you to participate the seminars in these symposiums, we skip the classes. Please submit 2 seminar reports (1-2 pages) chosen by you. The reports will be submitted to Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh within 2 weeks after the date of seminar given through e-mail

9. The seminar report should be submitted in the following format:

10. Send two weeks before the presentation the PDF file of the paper, seminar title, journal name and abstract by e-mail to all classmates.
11. Your final grade is the average of the grades obtained from your own presentation, your reports of faculty seminars (2) and symposium seminars (2), and your participation in the class.
12. Your instructor, Dr. Kuo-Chen Yeh, will be available for office hour during 2:00-5:00 every Thursday. |
