Course Description This course introduces a series of canonical texts on cultural studies, familiarizes students with the origin and function of cultural studies, and prepares them for future application. It is conducted primarily in the professor's lecturers and graduate students' oral reports.

This course equips students with literary theories and academic English to analyze cultural phenomena, gender and racial issues in literary texts. It enables them to articulate their observations both in verbal and written forms. The ultimate objective of this course is to prepare graduate students for a career in the field of cultural production and promotion.
