Course Description This course integrates statistical thinking into the engineering curriculum using the JMP software package. The students will learn basic statistics first, which is essential to understand the design of experiment (DoE). They will know why DoE is an efficient experimental approach, the terminology of DoE, and be introduced to several types of designs. Upon completion of this course, students will gain knowledge of experiment planning and execution and data analysis using the software, which is essential in achieving success with future experimentation.

這門課程將統計思維融入工程課程,並使用JMP軟體(由SAS公司開發的一款統計分析軟體)。學生將首先學習基本的統計知識,這對理解實驗設計(DoE)能奠定基礎。學生將了解為何DoE是一種高效的實驗方法,學習DoE的術語,並接觸到幾種不同類型的設計。完成這門課程後,學生將掌握實驗計劃與分析技能,這對未來的實驗或就職做更好的準備。
