Course Description This course develops student English skills in academic argumentation, one of the most essential skills for success in university studies and beyond. The curriculum is structured to provide a foundation in written composition before transitioning those skills to oral communication contexts. In the first half of the semester, students will focus on the core components of effective written arguments, including crafting clear thesis statements, organizing ideas logically, and using evidence critically to support claims. In the second half, students will transfer these skills to oral contexts. They will learn to articulate arguments clearly and respond to counterarguments through structured academic debates.
