Course Description This course invites students to journey through the imaginative landscapes of fantasy literature, from timeless classics to bold contemporary reimaginings. We will examine how fantastical worlds are constructed, how they challenge cultural norms, and how they resonate with today’s rapidly changing society. Students will engage with seminal texts and multimedia adaptations—ranging from canonical works to modern narratives infused with fantastic elements—and analyze themes of identity, power, technology, and myth-making. In addition, students are encouraged to experiment with digital and AI tools to present their interpretations of selected texts, making the study of fantasy both historically rich and dynamically relevant to the 21st century.
