Course Description This course introduces various types of stem cell research and applications, including embryonic stem cells and tissue-specific stem cells such as somatic stem cells. The course also explains what tumor stem cells are. Through the establishment and understanding of basic concepts, the course gradually introduces cell growth regulation, stem cell research methods, and the regulatory mechanisms of stem cell differentiation. It will also discuss how techniques such as gene modification are applied in stem cell research. In addition, through assigned readings and reports.
