| Course Description |
Pathophysiology examines the functional and structural changes in the body caused by physical, chemical, and other pathogenic factors. It focuses on the alterations that occur before, during, and after disease development. This course systematically introduces the mechanisms underlying disease progression, including disease development, the regulatory responses of the body to injurious factors, and adaptive or maladaptive changes in pathological conditions. Although the mechanisms involved in pathophysiology are complex, understanding them provides essential insights into the alterations in normal physiological function that accompany disease and helps distinguish physiological states before and after pathological change. |

Assessment Methods |
| Building on a comprehensive understanding of normal physiology in each organ system, this course introduces the pathological alterations and functional abnormalities associated with disease. It emphasizes the mechanisms underlying disease development and the body's specific responses to pathological conditions. Through the integration of physiological and pathophysiological concepts, students will develop the ability to accurately evaluate disease processes and establish appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for effective disease management. |
