Global News Flash Task: Select a specific national/international issue and research 2~3 English news articles/videos representing different perspectives. Requirement: Create a 5-slide visual presentation and upload it to the iLearning by June 12th as a final synthesis of your learning. * Include a recorded audio narration for your slides to demonstrate your oral proficiency.
Evaluation
1. class participation (50%) 2. midterm--written test on news voca. (20%) 3. final--debate on world issues (30%) 4. You are allowed to be absent for 6 hours at most for any reasons this semester. Being late for over 20 min/leaving 20 min early is seen as absenteeism. If you’re absent for 7 hours, 7 points will be deducted from the semester score. If you’re absent for 8 hours, 10 points will be deducted from the semester score. If you’re absent for 9 hours, 15 points will be deducted from the semester score. If you’re absent for 10 hours, 20 points will be deducted from the semester score, and so on.
