Course Description English Communication and Expression aims to enhance students’ intermediate-level English proficiency with a focus on developing communicative competence for academic contexts. The course emphasizes building basic academic communication skills through structured group discussions on various topics, using student-generated questions and the Quality Talk approach. Through a comprehensive curriculum integrating reading and speaking, students will practice interactive reading of academic texts, express ideas clearly, and ask and respond to authentic questions during discussions. Additionally, the course fosters essential academic skills, including note-taking, critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation, to support students in communicating effectively across a range of academic tasks.
