[Week1-10]
The first 10 weeks focuses on building the solid foundation of cinematic analyses. Cinema is an exclusive art composed by many different artistic forms and elements, and its own language, style and aesthetics are essential knowledge for film analyses of any kind. Therefore, two third of this course will provide the trainings on mise-en-scène analyses, shot-sequence analyses, narrative analyses, and the understanding of cinematic structure, aesthetics and ultimately the narratology analysis of cinema.
