Course Description (中)
生物資料量與日遽增,使得我們要從這麼大量的資料中篩取我們有用及統計顯著的資訊變成一件苦差事。這課程將介紹一些常用的生物資料庫以利我們的資料收集。在很多時候,這些收集的資料還需要作更進一步的處理以利於分析,故這課程將協助學生發展計算技能與統計分析技能。此外,這課程還將介紹新世代的解序技術與相關的序列資料庫與資料分析。最後,我們還會介紹一些分子演化中的重要分析。

The amount of biological data available is increasing rapidly. It is becoming a daunting task to pick out desired data with statistical significance when facing the biological data. This course will introduce some commonly used biological databases, which will facilitate data collection. In many cases, the extracted data need to be further processed to reveal a clear trend; the course will help students to develop computational skills and statistical analysis skills. In addition, the course will give an introduction to next generation sequencing technologies, relative databases and data analysis. Moreover, some important analyses in molecular evolution will be introduced as well.
