Students learn individual sound system (segmentals: vowels and consonants) to lay the foundations of intelligibilty. Furthermore, the course aims to equip students for a comprehensive understanding of pronunciation by working together with suprasegmentals.

Week 1 Understanding how various aspects of spoken English work together.

--Vowels and Word Stress
--Sentence Focus
--Consonants
--Thought Groups
For this semeter, we will focus on sound systems of consonants and put in thought groups.
