Course Description 基本電磁學現象描述及分析; 本學期著重於元件參數和傳輸線理論
This course focuses on the description and analysis of basic electromagnetic phenomena. This semester's contents are electromagnetic wave (uniform plane wave) propagation and transmission line theory.

理解以電磁學之知識解釋元件高頻特性. 並了解電磁波之入射, 反射, 穿透等現象.
並能應用傳輸線於高頻電路之應用. 以及史密斯圖的基本原理.
This course help students to understand the high-frequency characteristics of components using electromagnetics knowledge. It also help students to understand the phenomena of electromagnetic wave about incidence, reflection, and penetration. And it makes students be able to apply transmission line analysis to high frequency circuits and to use the basic principles of Smith charts.

Week 1 1.電力與能量關係及能量轉換, 2.時域均勻平面波

1. Relationship between electrical force and energy and concept of energy conversion,
2. Uniform plane wave in time domain.
Week 2 頻域均勻平面波
Uniform plane wave in frequency domain.
Week 3 1.電磁波的極化 2.電磁波的功率流及內存電磁能
1. Polarization of electromagnetic waves,
2. Power flow of electromagnetic wave and stored electromagnetic energy
Week 4 介質中的電磁波, 不同介質中的電磁波及邊界條件
1. Electromagnetic waves in different materials,
2. Boundary conditions for electromagnetic waves.
Week 5 正向電磁波的入射, 反射及穿透
Normal incident electromagnetic waves and their reflection and penetration at an interface between materials
Week 6 傳輸線基本推導, 末端接電阻性負載之傳輸線時域分析
1. Basic concepts on transmission lines,
2. Time domain analysis on a transmission line with a resistive load.
Week 7 本周為校慶補假, 線上複習5.4所學之電容, 電感及電導計算
Capacitance, Conductance and induction calculation for a transmission line

Week 9 傳輸線上不連續分析, 末端接電抗性負載之傳輸線時域分析
