The objective of this course is to equip students with a macroscopic perspective on the interconnectedness of market activities and the environment. The course will examine in depth how the decision-making behaviors of producers and consumers shape the complex issue of economic development and environmental sustainability. A key focus of instruction will be to elucidate how to effectively apply economic tools, such as market mechanisms and cost-benefit analysis, to quantitatively assess environmental problems and evaluate the effectiveness of corresponding policies. |
