Course Description This course explores the complex relationship between market activities and the environment, and trains students to apply economic tools, such as cost-benefit analysis, to professionally evaluate environmental problems and related policies.

The objective of this course is to equip students with a macroscopic perspective on the interconnectedness of market activities and the environment. The course will examine in depth how the decision-making behaviors of producers and consumers shape the complex issue of economic development and environmental sustainability. A key focus of instruction will be to elucidate how to effectively apply economic tools, such as market mechanisms and cost-benefit analysis, to quantitatively assess environmental problems and evaluate the effectiveness of corresponding policies.
1.Fundamental knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
2.Capability of experimental planning and execution, problem-analyzing and data-interpreting.
3.Professional engineering knowledge and application skills for solving environmental pollution problems and promoting sustainable development.
4.Capability of environmental engineering design.
5.Capability of data-integrating, project-management, effective-communication and teamwork.
7.Capability of understanding impact on environment and social culture from technology and capability
