Course Description Industrial ecology is a crucial interdisciplinary discipline for scientists, engineers, and policymakers, to understand industry-environment interactions.
This elective lecture provides a comprehensive understanding of the concepts related to industrial ecology and industrial symbiosis, including an overview of various tools and approaches such as life cycle assessment, design for X, reverse logistics, material and substance flow analysis, and circular economy. Strategies based on real life case studies, including the concept of net zero mapping, will be also discussed.
