Course Description The United States of America continues to be a superpower not only in its
political influence on other countries but also in its cultural export to the rest
of the world. Hollywood films, popular music, consumer goods, and other
manifestations of American popular culture are found everywhere, and
American values, covertly and blatantly, affect our lives.

This course is for students interested in exploring different aspects of
American culture to better understand the country and its influences. We
will delve into the wide-ranging impact of American culture and its role in
promoting American values.

Through the course, we will study classic American films that are filled with
cultural references related to our course themes. To deepen students’
understanding and facilitate engaging classroom discussions, additional
reading materials will be provided.
