Course Description This course provides an overview of Western culture and history, tracing its development from ancient Greece through the European Renaissance, particularly the cultural and historical factors that shape our understanding of Classical and Renaissance Literature. The course examines the major political, social, cultural, and intellectual movements that shaped Western civilization during these periods. Students will explore key texts, artworks, philosophical ideas, and historical events, gaining an understanding of how Western traditions evolved and influenced the modern world.
