Course Description To enable students to understand the relationship between microorganisms and the environment, to introduce various types and characteristics of microorganisms relevant to the environment, and to emphasize the metabolism, regulation, diversity, research methods, and the relationship between microorganisms and the decomposition of pollutants in the environment.

1.Midterm 35%, Final 35%, Quiz 30%, Participation and self-directed learning 5%. The total is 105%。
2.The top two students of this course (including this lecturing course and the lab) will be awarded a scholarship established by Prof. Chi-Mei Lee (Env. Engin students only).
