Course Description This course introduces basic physics including velocity, acceleration, momentum, force, electromagnetic force, special/general relativity, and etc. This course can also include discussions about physics and astrophysics. Any students who do not have a physics background can take this course. The course schedule can flexibly change, depending on the lecturer's schedule.

The course contents are as follows.

03. (25 Sep) Kinematics: speed and velocity 2
04. (02 Oct) Kinematics: acceleration 1
05. (09 Oct) Kinematics: acceleration 2

07. (23 Oct) Newton's three laws: momentum 2: distribute the midterm assignment
08. (30 Oct) Review of Chapters 2-7 and Q&A for the midterm assignment
09. (06 Nov) Centripetal force and gravity 1: deadline for the midterm assignment
10. (13 Nov) Centripetal force and gravity 2
11. (20 Nov) Energy 1
12. (27 Nov) Energy 2
13. (04 Dec) Momentum and collisions 1

The aim of this course is to understand the basic ideas of diverse fields in physics and astrophysics, which govern our daily life and the Universe. This course does not go into the details of each content but focuses on the essences of the topics.
