Course Description This course covers important concepts in information security. We will discuss various cryptographic techniques, including symmetric-key and asymmetric-key encryption, as well as data integrity and authentication. However, our focus will always be on what is important to know and interesting to study.

Upon completion of this course, students will have the skills to describe fundamental concepts and understand the current needs of information security. Additionally, they will be able to build simple cryptographic algorithms, which are essential for ensuring secure communication and protecting sensitive data. This course aims to equip students with a solid foundation in information security, enabling them to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios and contribute to the development of secure systems.
