| This course equips students with a mechanistic understanding of novel oxidants and UV-based processes used for water decontamination and disinfection. Students will learn the fundamental chemistry driving radical and non-radical pathways, interpret kinetic and mechanistic data, and assess how water matrix conditions influence treatment performance. Through integrated case studies, students will apply these insights to evaluate advanced oxidation and UV technologies for contaminant removal and microbial inactivation. |
