1. Please note that if you miss all the classes before the add/drop period, you must abide by the class regulations we have publicly discussed during the first class.
2. This course focuses on reading and discussing extensive works by great minds, aiming to help English majors develop professional skills for their future careers. Please participate actively and enjoy the process.
Therefore, please come prepared to engage in this journey, which includes an introductory exploration of literary criticisms, grammar and syntax analysis, and teaching skills and methods.
3. During our classes, classroom management is highly valued and emphasized. This is ultimately for your benefit and well-being, and I hope we can work together to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Your advice and suggestions are always welcome. We can discuss them regularly and work together each week to improve your learning experience. However, please understand that sending every message anonymously may sometimes make it difficult to address concerns in a timely and effective manner, and it may also affect the atmosphere of trust and communication in our class.

I am always all ears and willing to listen. I will definitely adapt my teaching accordingly when your suggestions are appropriate and in the best interest of the class.

4. Under no circumstances may you record, photograph, or otherwise digitally capture any part of our classes. Please understand that doing so may violate the rights, privacy, and intellectual property of others.

5. Technology, including A.I., is the future. However, it is indeed a double-edged sword. Therefore, the use of any electronic device in this course should serve only one purpose: to help you better understand the materials covered in our texts. Please use electronic devices only with permission and with caution during lectures.
6. This course is specifically designed for English majors in our evening program. You should enroll in this course only if you are officially enrolled as an English major in the evening program.
For those who need my permission to enroll in this course, however, I regret that I will generally have to decline requests for special enrollment, as I would like to keep the course as straightforward and manageable as possible.
