課程簡述	本課程從「關懷生命」角度來探討動物福利，引導學生從人類對動物剝削的現象進行反思，再深化反省人類自己的生命價值。本課程之教材雖較偏重生命知識，但精神仍以詮釋「人」為主，將正反兩面的思想同時提出，啟蒙學生建立自己的生命觀。 This course is an introduction of contemporary thoughts of animal rights. We will cover the basis for the extension or denial of moral consideration to animals, while focusing on the main theories of the current animal rights debate. The aim of this course is to provide an analysis of the leading modern theories and movements, as well as consideration of the practical implications of animal ethics.
