Course Description English Communication and Expression, previously called Freshmen English, is designed to help students develop their English communication skills through meaningful engagement with a variety of global topics. Emphasizing both oral and written expression, students will read a range of texts focused on significant contemporary issues, expand their vocabulary, and engage in structured speaking and writing activities. Through group discussions, short talks, and in-class presentations, students will practice expressing their ideas clearly and confidently in English. The course also aims to build students’ critical thinking skills as they reflect on real-world issues presented in the textbook.
