課程簡述 This course thoroughly describes the complicated and new IC chip fabrication processes in detail with minimum mathematics, physics and chemistry. Advanced technologies are covered along with older ones to provide an understanding of the development processes from a historic point of view. Course highlights are semiconductor basics, wafer manufacturing, photolithography and etching, thin film deposition and metallization, process integration and CMOS technology.

To understand and apply industry specific vocabulary related to semiconductor manufacturing processes, to gain the broad understanding of the basic IC fabrication sequence covering essential stages such as wafer manufacturing, photolithography, etching, and thin film deposition, to gain practical knowledge for a career in semiconductor manufacturing and finally to unlock career development opportunities in the dynamic semiconductor industry.
