課程簡述 1. Preparing students to be independent remediation engineers.
2. Equipping the students with the knowledge in investigation, assessment, and remediation design of contaminated soil, groundwater, or sediment.
3. Introducing the newest development in green sustainable remediation, environmental technology certification (ISO 14034), and application of metagenomics and artificial intelligence to bioremediation.

學習評量方式
Grading policy:
1. All lectures, assignments and exams will be given in English. However, questions, term paper, and homework are allowed to be addressed or finished in either Chinese or English.
2. Homework will be handed out every other week and a term paper will be assigned to each group of students, usually 2 students in a group.
3. Composition of final score
3.1. Homework assignments: 15%. Zero score for late submission.
3.2. Term paper (Case study write-up): 25%, 7 pages min and 10 pages max, not including references. Font in size 12 and double spaced. References should be no less than 10 citations. Preferably in English.
3.3. Midterm: 30%
3.4. Final: 30%
