課程簡述	This is an upper-intermediate course designed to enhance undergraduate students’ English listening and speaking abilities for a variety of academic purposes. In particular, students will improve their speaking skills for common tasks such as class discussions and presentations. They will also learn to identify and explain the arguments in the context of chosen topics such as health, culture, technology, business and economics, and learn to further express their own arguments in English when engaging in critical analysis. In addition to interaction skills, presentational techniques will also be introduced to prepare the learners for delivering a PowerPoint presentation on an academic topic of their choice. Upon completion of this course, students will improve their oral communication skills and gain confidence to express themselves in English.

學習評量方式
1. Attendance, class participation, & assignments: 35% 2. Midterm Assessment: 25% 3. Final Project (including project outcome and peer evaluation): 30% 4. Self-directed learning activities: 10% **Self-directed learning activities: Choose one of the projects from your classmates and finish the peer evaluation sheet by June. 17. The peer evaluation sheet will be posted on iLearning 3.0.
