| 課程簡述 | This class discusses the environment and sustainable development from the perspective of social science. Centered on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this class will explore issues including poverty, clean water, green energy, climate change, maritime conservation, public health and the Anthropocene. The class adopts an interdisciplinary approach to current developments and strives to raise awareness towards imminent challenges against the environment. 本課程從社會科學的角度探索環境和永續發展議題。課程的討論圍繞聯合國永續發展目標，探討的主題包括貧窮、水資源、綠能、氣候變遷、海洋保護、公共衛生和人類世等。課程從跨領域的視角觀察現勢發展，並試圖提升同學對環境威脅的認知和意識。 |

| After completing the class, students will have a basic understanding of environmental changes and current debates and discussions on sustainable development. The course seeks to transform students into caring global citizens of the twenty-first century. 學生在完成此課程後，將對環境變遷和當前永續發展的相關討論有基礎的理解。課程試培養學生成為充滿關懷的二十一世紀全球公民。 |
