課程簡述 The course is designed to improve the English language proficiency and communicative competence of college freshmen through intensive and extensive reading, listening exercises, classroom tasks, oral presentations, and writing assignments. Students are encouraged to identify problems, gather relevant information, and express themselves in interactive contexts.

學習評量方式
The grade will be based on midterm and final exams, assignments, oral presentations, and class participation. The percentage of each category will be as follows.
Midterm Exam 20%
Final Exam 25%
Assignments 15% (Mock Exams & Learning Logs: 5%; Oral Presentations: 10%)
Quizzes & Class Participation 25%
Freshman English Proficiency Test (Post-Test) 15%
