課程簡述 This course consists of listening and reading specifics. The listening component aims to expose students to a variety of authentic English news reports that will allow them to comprehend English language about everyday topics. The reading component is skill-based which empowers the students with the skills needed to achieve academic success and builds the students’ language proficiency.

1. To provide the students with a non-threatening learning environment. The students increase their confidence in using English and improve their ability to apply the knowledge of the English language they have acquired in high school.
2. The four skills are incorporated in everyday classroom activities.
3. Students are expected to discuss what they have read, to write about what they have discussed in class or heard in a language lab activity.
4. Fluency and creativity are encouraged.
