Course Description This course will illustrate fundamental partial differential equations, including the transport equation, heat equation, wave equation, and Laplace's equation.

Students will be able to solve the PDEs by applying the characteristic method and Fourier series. In addition, students will learn the maximum principle and basic knowledge of the harmonic function such as the Green's function.
