課程簡述 Addressing the urgent sustainability needs of society will necessitate the creation and implementation of innovative technologies. Biotechnology, empowered by recent breakthroughs in synthetic biology, aims to establish sustainable, biologically-driven pathways for the production of chemicals and materials, serving as alternatives to fossil-derived counterparts. This course will discuss current development of related approaches, and provide an avenue to gain a deeper understanding and responsiveness to the sustainability implications associated with future works, and actions.
