Course Description 比較方法學的主要內涵為當在研究演化生態學等領域之生物議題時,必需同時考慮物種之間的親緣關係。比較方法起源於18世紀初期,長久以來都是生態與演化研究重要的基石。比較方法學是一個強而有力的工具,可以用於探討演化生物學裡幾個重要的問題,因此被大量的被用在重建祖先特徵,測試適應假說和研究不同特徵演化上的關連性。
本課程針對以演化生物學與行為生態學為主要研究方向的學生,除了介紹比較方法學的原理與應用外,並教導學生如何使用R軟體來進行不同比較方法的分析,讓學生實地演練,幫助學生完成自身研究。

註1:本課程為進階應用課程,所學十分專業,除建議同學應先修習過演化學、分子親緣關係等科目之外,自身研究內容與方向應與本課程相關者較為合適。
註2:有興趣修習之同學,請於開學第一週前,將自介寄到教師信箱(包含自我介紹、論文題目與方向、本課程與自身實驗之關連性等)。
