課程簡述 This course equips undergraduates with the terms and tactics to understand forms and contents of fiction so that they are able to express their thoughts fluently both in spoken and written forms. They, too, learn the rules of academic writing so as to prepare themselves for advanced studies.

The course aims to strengthen students’ speaking and writing abilities in articulating their views of literary texts. They will learn the tactics of essay writing and paper delivering for formal occasions such as conferences and seminars.Its ultimate goal is to prepare students for advanced literary studies, in particular the genre of fiction.

Attendance Policies:
1. Arrival 5 minutes after the class starts is counted as tardiness; arrival 20 minutes after the class starts is counted as one absence.
2. For tardiness, one point is deducted from your final grade; for absence, five points are deducted from your final grade.
3. No make-up exam will be given unless you could justify your absence on the day of exam.
4. All leaves must be proved with valid documents.
