| 課程簡述 | Course Description: This course is designed to equip students in the life sciences with the academic English skills required to engage critically with biotechnology-related topics. Through integrated modules focused on vocabulary development, scientific communication, and reflective thinking, students will explore key areas such as virology, epidemiology, medical research, and public health policy. Authentic materials—including science-themed films and research articles—serve as entry points for listening, reading, speaking, and writing practice. Emphasis is placed on analyzing the ethical, scientific, and societal dimensions of biotechnology and pandemic responses. |

| Learning Objectives By the end of this course, students will be able to: A. Vocabulary & Content Knowledge • Accurately use and define discipline-specific English terms related to: • Demonstrate at least 80% accuracy in using terminology in speech and writing. B. Listening • Comprehend and summarize key scientific ideas from audio materials. • Identify main ideas, supporting details, and terminology in spoken input. C. Speaking • Deliver organized oral presentations using biotechnology-related vocabulary. • Respond to and ask questions with clarity and critical reasoning. • Engage in academic discussions with appropriate tone, structure, and evidence. |
