An overview of international investment treaties and investment clauses in trade treaties, and a discussion on the issues of international investment dispute settlement. |

Geoeconomics has been defined as the use of legal instruments to achieve a foreign policy goal based on national security considerations. The class will use this concept to discuss the U.S.-China trade war and the economic sanctions imposed against Russia after their Ukraine invasion. |
