課程簡述 本系列課程會簡介教育數據的常見格式，及如何在圖形化介面(GUI)中下指令操作這些數據。
如授課教師錄製的 Excel 磨課師課程所述 [1]，很多教育數據會以 Excel 活頁簿(xlsx)的格式發佈。而跟寫程式處理活頁簿比起來，不僅 Excel 更適於處理活頁簿資料，也較容易用這些處理過程展示資料庫的基本概念。因此我們會照磨課師的進度，講授用 Excel 處教育數據的方法，補充其中細節，及指導同學操作練習。除了實務操作，我們也會依課本 [2]中 Chapter 5 Keep Excel in Your Toolset 和 Chapter 3 Database and Date Warehouses 講述操作內所包含的資料庫基本概念。
In the series of Database System (I), (II), and (III), we will introduce educational data sets, its common formats, and methods to handle these data via graphical user interfaces (GUI) and programs.
As explained in my recorded Excel MOOCS course [1], many educational data sets are shared in Microsoft Excel xlsx files. Comparing to handle xlsx files in a generic programming language, it is not only more natural to handle xlsx data in Excel, but also easier to visualize the process handling them and to demonstrate the idea of database system. Therefore, we will follow our progress in my MOOCS course to handle educational data in Excel, while supplying more details and making sure students could really manipulate the data by themselves. Besides operating date in Excel, we will also explain their database idea as in Chapter 5 Keep Excel in Your Toolset and Chapter 3 Database and Date Warehouses in our textbook [2].

學習評量方式
● 作業 50% 平時課堂指派作業，以實際操作後截圖上傳為主

We will follow my recorded online MOOCS course with more supplementary details [1], and in class practices.
